The benefits of organic coconut oil

In 1985, a national campaign against saturated fats was heavily promoted. As coconut oil is a saturated fat, it was also said to be “unhealthy” and the public was encouraged to eliminate it completely. Instead, soybean oil was promoted as a healthier alternative.

About 20 years later, the truth was finally revealed. Although coconut oil is a saturated fat, it was not the same as other saturated fats, like lard. Coconut oil in particular is composed of medium chain triglycerides, which is extremely beneficial for one’s health and the metabolism.

If you’re looking to lose weight, there are quite a few natural substances that can definitely help, organic coconut oil being one of these. For one, it acts as a natural fungicide (kills fungi), bactericidal (kills bacteria) and even reduces infections related to herpes. Overall, it helps detoxify the body and will do wonders for the skin.

For those suffering from hypothyroidism, organic coconut oil has been quite a blessing.
